Resident Status: Year-round resident
Abundance: Uncommon
Length:14.5 cm, Wing Span:19-21 cm

Description: Small drab bird with thin bill. Red-brown upperparts streaked on crown, back, and wings. Gray from head to belly, with dark flank streaks.
Similar Species: Differs from Radde's and Alpine Accentors by combination of dull color and lack of contrasting pale supercilium.
Behavior: Creeps with jerky movements across ground close to cover.
Habitat: Dense forest, scrub, river gorges, orchards.
Food: Invertebrates, seeds, berries.
Nest: Cup of twigs, moss, wool, and horsehair in shrub.
Eggs: 20 mm, 4-6, greenish-blue.
