Resident Status: Migrant, Winter Visitor
Length:9 cm, Wing Span:13-16 cm
Distribution Map: Map 287.
Description: Expected as a migrant or winter visitor. Very small, highly active bird with dark lateral crown and eye stripes, and white supercilium. Male: orange central crown; female: yellow central crown.
Similar Species: At all ages, differs from Common Goldcrest by dark eyestripe.
Behavior: Forages high in canopy.
Habitat: Woodlands; scrub on migration.
Food: Invertebrates.
