Length:13.5-14.5 cm, Wing Span:27-30 cm

Description: Drab with long wings and brown-orange legs. Pale grayish yellow-brown with paler supercilium, mustache, two wingbars, and tips to secondaries. Whitish tips on tail feathers and whitish belly.
Behavior: Rather shy and secretive. Erratic in occurrence from year to year.
Habitat: Steep rocky arid mountain slopes with low shrubs.
Food: Seeds, small invertebrates.
Nest: Cup of twigs and stems in low dense shrub.
Eggs: 21 mm, 3-5, white, dark spots.
