Pale brownish-gray above, white below, blackish scapular lines, white trailing edge to wing, and yellow legs. |

Paler but retains dark scapular lines on back. |
| Similar Species: |
Differs from other sandpipers by combination of small size, upcurved bill, short yellow legs, and white trailing edge to wing. |
