Description: Gray-toned lark with large bill, brown tail with white sides. In flight, shows black underwings with white trailing edge.
Adult: Streaked above; large black patches on sides of breast.
Juvenile: Broad off-white feather tips on upperparts.
Similar Species: Bimaculated Lark.
Behavior: Migrates in flocks in spring and fall.
Habitat: Steppe, semidesert, fields.
Food: Seeds, invertebrates.
Nest: Cup on ground.
Eggs: 25 mm, 4-5, off-white, brown spots.
