| Description: | Yellowish legs. |
| Adult: | Pale yellow-brown upperparts, almost unstreaked below. Black median coverts forming a prominent row of spots, darker border to ear coverts and narrow dark malar stripe. |
| Juvenile: | Brown above with broad pale feather edges. Small brown spots on flanks and breast. |
| Similar Species: | Differs from other pipits by yellowish legs and pale face. |
| Behavior: | Undulating flight. |
| Habitat: | Semidesert, mountain steppe, subalpine area. |
| Food: | Invertebrates, seeds. |
| Nest: | Cup lined with fine plant material. |
