Length:25.5 cm, Wing Span:39-42 cm

Description: Gray head and rump; reddish-brown back and wings; black lores and tail, whitish underparts with numerous dark chevrons, yellow-brown tint on throat and breast. White underwing coverts.
Behavior: Noisy, gregarious species, forming large flocks when feeding and roosting. Gives loud three-note call.
Habitat: Woodland edges, orchards, cultivated fields, mountain steppe.
Food: Invertebrates; fruits and seeds in winter.
