Description: Long bill, flat forehead, pale supercilium and eyering. Brownish-gray above; long dark wings with whitish wing patch. White underparts. Long blackish tail with white edges may appear distinctly brown-toned in flight.
Similar Species: Olivaceous Warbler and (fall) Icterine Warbler.
Behavior: Swings tail sideways while feeding.
Habitat: Brushy semidesert, dry mountain steppe.
Food: Invertebrates.
Nest: Cup of stems in small shrub.
Eggs: 19 mm, 4-5, pale pinkish, dark spots.
