Length:14 cm, Wing Span:22.5-25.5 cm

Description: Brightly colored; yellow underparts with black stripe from chin to belly.
Adult: Black and white head pattern. Male has broad black belly patch; female's is narrow or absent.
Juvenile: Black and yellow head pattern, lacking black border to lower face.
Similar Species: Differs from other tits by broad black breast stripe.
Habitat: Forests, plantations, orchards, parks; semidesert scrub in winter.
Food: Invertebrates, seeds, fruits.
Nest: Cup of dry plants and moss in cavity of tree, wall, or nest box.
Eggs: 18 mm, 4-12, white, red-brown spots.
