| Description: | Size, shape, and color pattern similar to Levant Sparrowhawk, but slightly smaller with vertical throat stripe, and blunter less contrasting dark wingtips. Male lighter gray; female darker brown. |
| Juvenile: | In flight, juvenile shows at least 6 bands on the undertail. |
| Habitat: | Steppe, farmland. |
| Food: | Small vertebrates, insects. |
